Treating T3 Deficiency, The Evidence You Need – Part 10

Dr. Rouzier will be completing the 10 Part webinar series on Thyroid. He will be reviewing a British article that describes the past 100 year of data that supports the benefits of T3 therapy over T4 alone. In addition to, the bias that surrounds thyroid treatment and why this information is suppressed when in fact patients feel better on T3 therapy instead of T4 alone.

Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, the healthcare professional will be able to:

  1. Review recent rejection of AACE guidelines based on science and medical literature demonstrating that guidelines are absurd and not in line with recent studies.
  2. Describe the politics and history behind the preferential use of T4 alone and not T3.
  3. Review the literature demonstrating that T3 works better than T4, resulting in symptomatic improvement over T4, lowers cholesterol and metabolic parameters better than T4, yet it is ignored by AACE and ATA in their guidelines.
